In the context of documenting the passage of time, it is often thought that condensing the emotions of each year into a monthly calendar allows people to reflect on the creation of the times and record historical events accordingly.

During my involvement in the "Guarding the Other Side of Hong Kong" project last year, a discussion about migration emerged in the team.

Questions about feelings towards Hong Kong and the prospect of emigration were pondered.

It was emphasised that rather than advocating for or against emigration, it is better to respect individual decisions and provide good personal reasons to promote understanding.

Ultimately, the focus lies on the act of staying.

Expectations are rooted in personal desires, and contentment arises from achieving one's goals. It is imperative to acknowledge the current circumstances and adapt accordingly, appreciating the present and amplifying positivity.

After two years of turmoil, what we need most is a sense of security.
Those who can leave are leaving, but those who can't are staying.Those who stay always ask: 

What else can we do?

In fact, there is nothing, just watching Hong Kong films and listening to Cantonese songs. But is there anything else?

There's the excitement for the athletes, the taste of the food, the progress of television, the arrival of newborns, the preservation of old things, etc. All of these are not worthwhile?

Isn't all this worth waiting for? It is easy to make empty promises, and it is not difficult to criticise everything. What is difficult is to turn our anger at everything into a motivation to live.
